What could be nicer than a bespoke vintage afternoon tea party? Delicious home-made sandwiches, cakes and scones, with lashings of jam and cream. All served up on beautiful vintage china, with linen tablecloths and napkins. And in true English fashion, we also have an endless supply of tea!

Use Tilly as the centrepiece for your drinks party, with an endless supply of chilled bubbly or soft drinks to celebrate your special occasion. We can also provide some delicious home-made nibbles such as canapés if you wish.

For a more genteel and sophisticated way to celebrate impending nuptials, there’s nothing to beat afternoon tea, freshly baked cakes and a chance to make last-minute plans for the big day. It’s also a wonderful way to spend time with mums, aunties and grandmas. Tilly will truly make it a day to remember.

The bride and her bridesmaids can start off their special day in style with a delicious continental breakfast, with pots of freshly-brewed tea and coffee to set them on their way.

You can use Tilly as a beautiful setting for the bride and groom or small groups of wedding guests. But just as important, after the ceremony people may be in need of sustenance. Tilly can be used to dispense glasses of chilled Champagne to the wedding guests while they are waiting for their turn with the photographer.

Celebrate the new arrival in style with delicious home-made food and chilled wine or soft drinks. Tilly is a great way to cater for guests of all ages at christening parties, as well as being the ideal setting for your baby shower.

Now a regular fixture in the academic year, this is a great opportunity for you to send your children off to their prom party in style. And at the same time maybe you can share some wine with the other mums and dads when they have gone... After all, why should the kids have all the fun?

More then just a caravan

Tilly is a genuine Thomson Mini Glen caravan, manufactured in Falkirk, Scotland in the 1960s and she has been lovingly restored to her former glory. Very much a child of the 60s, she was designed to be towed by the original Austin Mini.
She boasts a small but fully-functioning kitchen and food preparation area, which includes a sink, half sink, a fridge, a tea urn and a very dinky two-ring gas burner. Everything we need to ensure that guests are well-provisioned.
A cosy seating area has also been restored with some lovely upholstery and cushions using beautiful period-style fabrics.
Although we’re firm believers in the great outdoors, we still appreciate that sometimes British weather can be a little unpredictable. That’s why we have a canopy that can be attached to Tilly to provide some shade from the sun – or shelter from the rain...

Making corporate entertaining fun!

Tilly is a great way to make a unique corporate statement – particularly if you have clients overseas who would love a true taste of archetypical Englishness. What could be better than a cream tea served the traditional way, out of an authentic vintage British caravan?
Alternatively you may want to thank your workforce for their efforts over the year, with a glass or two of something bubbly, sipped al fresco. Either way, Tilly is the perfect venue – and you can tailor the party to meet your specific corporate needs.

Chief cook and bottle-washer...
Tilly the Travelling Tea Room is the brainchild of experienced home cook Carol Corfield, from Hadstock, near Cambridge. Carol prepares all the food for her customers in her own kitchen, which has been given a five rating for hygiene and cleanliness by her local council – the top rating in the ‘scores on the doors’ scheme which ensures high food preparation standards in restaurants and pubs throughout the country.
Carol is backed by a wealth of experience, working front of house for blue chip companies, managing and delivering hospitality for clients from all around the world.
“I love cooking and I love entertaining, so Tilly gives me a chance to indulge both passions, meet some really interesting people and help them to make their celebrations that little bit more special,” she said.
